Ungoogled Chromium is a web browser based on the open-source Chromium project, with all dependencies on Google's web services and telemetry removed. The goal is to provide a browser with the same speed and functionality as Chromium but with enhanced privacy, control, and transparency.

Core principles

• Remove all Google web service integration: This includes features like Google Host Detector, Google URL Tracker, and Safe Browsing.
• Block internal requests to Google: As a fail-safe, the browser replaces internal Google web domain names with a non-existent domain (*.qjz9zk) and blocks all requests to it.
• Strip binaries from the source code: Pre-built, proprietary binaries are removed from the source code during compilation.
• Promote transparency and control: While most of the default Chromium experience is preserved, many privacy and control-enhancing tweaks can be manually activated by users.
